Defcon has been confirmed for the Mac, and it is currently being produced by Ambrosia Software. You can read the progress log here: [Link].

I'm probably not at liberty to say much more than this.
Defcon Beta is slated for about midway through this month. I would highly suggest keeping an eye out over at the Ambrosia forums as well as here.
Beyond that, I'll just say the delay is for a very good reason. Sorry about that.
