How come there's no MIRV'ed missiles? Even in the movie "War Games" the computer showed MIRV'ed missiles. This would make the game so much better, not to mention harder. Maybe as like a mod or something.

I don't know, MIRVs would certainly confuse the hell of of silos. Not to mention if they also include chaff with the MIRVs.

Yeah!
And take away the ability for silos to have AA/AM capability since silos do not have that. They didn't have that in in Wargames either!
And make all the missiles non programmable. You have to program where the missiles go before defcon 3. Most missiles are like this. (I think)
And fighters can only travel a few hundred miles before turning around. Not the thousands of miles they have now. And Carrier bombers around the same. Not over the whole ocean!
And you have 500 silos to place and they each have only one missile. Just like in Wargames.
Lets be realistic. They could not duplicate the movie Wargames exactly. 1) It is not as fun! 2) everyone really dies with no ABM support.
And who heard of nukes in South America? Africa?
The designers had to take some liberties to make it a fun game. Otherwise it would of been east vs west. 4 zones but in really just 2 or 3. Western Nations vs USSR or China. (Isn't Tokyo on our side?)
So the designers made some changes to enhance gameplay value at the expense of reality.
Check the modders forum. There might be mirv's there?

Imagine a bomber that carries multiple nukes, follows the same path as a nuke, and travels at the same speed as a nuke. All you do is click on the target a few times and the nukes are guaranteed to arrive simultaneously, no micromanagement required. Such a unit, were it implimented, would reduce the most essential component of an offensive strategy (saturation) into something a trained monkey could accomplish.

Actually missiles are targeted at the time of launch. There are tons and tons and tons of attack profiles to fit just about every scenario imagineable and the President picks from them when he decides to launch, but the actual coordinates are not loaded into the missiles until just before launch.

Really? Where can I read up on that? Sounds interesting.

Might start by looking into SIOP.
