oh lord, can one of the admins please note his IP, and stick him on permanent block.
His whining is becoming tiresome

I guess he just keeps looking to the demo players, bless.

This is stupid, you may as well add me to the backstabber's list as well.

Although, in my defence, I tend to only back-stab back-stabbers. Justice comes to all. None shall survive.

This is a nonsense thread.

Anyone can claim any old crap about anyone else, and with zero proof. Ohh, screenshots would be similarly pointless since any retard can paintshop a fake scoreline/quitter etc. Its all hearsay and can not be relief upon. In fact, it just causes more trouble than anything. I suggest its closed.

You are correct. Due to the way DEFCON is currently set up, there is no way to 100% verify anyone on the list is guilty as charged. However, unless and until DEFCON supports such features, the Griefers List is the best solution currently available.

dear god mstcrow, is whining all you can ever do?

The entire idea of a griefer list is obnoxious and disruptive to good gameplay.

This just came to my mind: What if you put up a Diplomacy game with a time limit, and then nobody would brake the alliance, and everybody would sit it out peacefully. Nobody dies, everybody lives. What great politics this would be!

Ok excuse me, it's late here, but I had to write this down ;-)

I've tried that, but never works.

Hmmm, interesting list. I'd always thought that the USA and Kim Jong Il were dodgy - and now I have irrefutable proof in the form of vague accusations of what some may perceive as antisocial behaviour.

Well you'd say that!

Hm... I played against Kim Jong Il once and he didn't do anything like that...

And this thread is quite nonsense yet. If we want to have something like that, we need and in-game function, with some way of actually proving such stuff. How about a replay-with-chat-log function?

And why can you see MightySanta's subs you cheater! I'll report that!

"Alden" - shut down server with 7 minutes to go, he was clearly bored having done nothing for ages. A sub attack was just starting on the points leader too so it could have swung the game for the second place guy.

Gah! Look - there is no point in having a griefers list.
People can - and will - just change their nic. As it is, it simply serves to defame people without proof.
If this was seen as necessary, we'd have a nice big 'sticky' slapped at the top.

To summarise: DON'T POST 'GRIEFERS'!

I'm sure that eventually a server-switching capability will be introduced, which will eliminate the 'host leaving' issue. All other issues are ones which either are to be expected, or are already able to be dealt with.

Technically, it libels them, as it is in print. That being said, I agree with you completely.

KingAl - got to within a gnat's whisker of winning, got nuked to death, quit the game after explaining he was going to go out and make wild love with a bevy of local sailors, after which he would smear himself with jam and run naked through the streets screaming 'I am the God of Love and Nuclear War FEAR ME'.

It's true - I've got screenshots.

Well at least he was interesting about it, rather than just quitting without saying anything.
