Box copy damaged :(

Postby Davman » Fri Oct 20, 2006 5:58 pm

A small gripe I know... My box copy turned up today, but the box is actually bent. Not a huge deal you may think, but my Introversion box copies usually take pride of place on my shelf and are in pristine condition... now Defcon can't join those ranks.

I'd just swap the jacket into another case, but with the bending, the jacket has become creased

Good luck to everyone who hasn't got their box copy yet!

Edit: Just to note, I'm sure the damaged box is absolutely no fault of Introversion's, and its all down to the post office and their poor mail handling technique.

Complain at the post-office. They might claim that a box isn't worth much, but atleast it's on record. Seen first hand how some people handle packets when they work at postoffice/deliveryservice.

I just got my copy today in the central US, and it's in prime physical shape. Unfortunately, yours was probably an anomaly. I have another one that should arrive soon, so we'll see if that one turns out the same or not...

you can probably show the receipt, right?
it's not the whole product, but it is a part of the product
some CDs and dvds come with special cases that are unique, and as such if replaced, can't be replaced with new ones as the booklets wouldn't fit - or with some the case IS the booklet
though, they might argue that it does not have a "fragile" sticker on the package, which would probably get them off the hook

They migth argue that the box is part of the package and not the product, hence the value of the box would be very low, if seeking reinbursment.
