Defcon on Introversion homepage

Postby timu » Tue Oct 17, 2006 11:28 pm

Why the hell do they still say 'Coming September' on their homepage? How hard is it to change this graphic? How about 'buy me now'?

I assume that you are refering to the image at http://introversion.co.uk ? and not anything at http://everybody-dies.com or http://everyone-dies.com ? If so, does it really matter?

Because it looks amateurish. A website that is obviously out of date looks sloppy and gives off a bad impression for everthing else a company does.

Yeah, they probably should change this, but I think they have their hands full with more important things at the moment. There are more than a few people waiting for their boxed copies, and the first patch is nearing release.

First off, it is still accurate -- the game came in September. Second, it is not the official website for the game, so it doesn't really matter from that standpoint, either. Finally, IV have their hands full at the moment, and have better things to worry about. I am sure it will be updated when IV are good and ready :)

Why make a fuss over a picture, people will still click it anyway...

I suggest you invoice the costs to IV for your digigent observations.

Keep it up.

Meanwhile, the rest of us are in the game lobby

Dont get me wrong I love the games. How long would it take to change this graphic and upload it? 5 minutes? 10? Could you imagine for example EA or Blizzard having something as out of date as that on their homepage? No. I think I just have a pet hate for obviously out of date and un cared for websites. I remember it still said 'Coming April' until about July...

Uh, for all we know it could have lost them some copys. We can't really compare the invoices to anything else, so they mean nothing.

Yeah, I would definatly get the wrong impression if I saw an outdated graphic like that.

Yeah, but there was a reason for that :) Also, IV are not Blizzard nor EA. IV are just a couple of blokes.

I read the first post and had a brilliant idea.

Lets stop worrying about it, and play the game.

Really, who gives a shit?
