Good games, everybody. The first game turned out to be extremely tense (at least, for me). Gib sweat everywhere. It all came down to this (or so I thought):
"Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!" -- xander
Alas, the ensuing dogpile extingished my hopes for world dominance. Well played, LtB.
Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to address my fellow Red States representatives. Gentlemen, when, after some cunning plotting, we secede from the evil Green Alliance, before any of us have placed a single unit on the board, thusly denying all members of the evil Green Alliance knowledge to the whereabouts of our forces -- and another member of said evil Green Alliance then requests to join us, thus eliminating any strategic advantage of our dastardly cunning plan... the only sensible answer is: NO! Especially when said member then proceeds to use this cunningly gained knowledge to secede once more and bomb yours truly back to the stone age. Or so she thought...
Thank you for your attention.

You know, that's the first time I believe I have heard that phrase relating to Defcon. How strange that it hasn't been picked up on previously. (Unless it has, but I'm ignorant.)
Here is my signature. Make of it what you will.
