How would you like to bomb Australia?

Yes, I don't want those Aussie's from down under ruling the world.

No, in fact I'll move there myself and assist in the colonizing of the new world.

I'm not sure. I don't want them to rule the world, but bombing them would be mean.

Everbody Dies Except Australia

Postby wwarnick » Mon Oct 09, 2006 6:50 pm

It seems to me that "Everybody Dies" is incorrect, because Australia is left untouched. All the nuclear fallout would tear apart the rest of the continents that were involved, and Australia would be prepared for any fallout traveling with the wind. So it's "Everybody Dies Except Australia". After the fallout settles, Australia would begin colonizing the rest of the world. The universal language would be pidgin English and we'd all have an aussie accent. The olympics would consist of only one nation and always be held in Sydney for then next 200 years. The sequel would be about the Aborigine uprising, IV's first FPS.

Actually, since this is the only game I've seen that involves full-scale nuclear war, you could almost call this the prequel to the classic Fallout RPGs, which take place after a full-scale nuclear war. Great games by the way. Some of the best single player RPGs out there. A Fallout 3 is currently in development (by different developers unfortunately).

There are many survivors, such as the Ascension Islanders, Hawaiians, New Zealanders, Mauritians and the many other islanders not included on the map,a nd the people who live in cities that aren't targeted. It will be a fine Olympic Games. Or it would be like Mad Max!

As long as it did not un-balance gameplay I wouldn't mind an opportunity to bomb Australia, New Zealand or even Indonesia.

Australia has the largest reserves of Uranium on the planet.

Its inclusion might be a good idea :)

I'm disappointed. There's no option to say "I'm Australian! Please don't bomb me!" =(

yeah, but there is nobody in Australia, except kangaroos and a dead stingray hunter :p
It would be well for your government to consider that having your ships and ours, your aircraft and ours, in such proximity... is inherently DANGEROUS. Wars have begun that way, Mr. Ambassador....

I'd think some Canadians would survive (albeit the radiation might get to the ones closer to the border, espescially Toronto/Ottawa)

And I don't think there's anything wrong with the tagline, as "The vast majority of the population dies" really doesn't have the same effect.
