No, that just implies that you are click happy. It could happen on any forum. You know you are obsessed with DefCon when you feel an overwhelming urge to nuke every n00b who pops his head up.

...When you have over 100 posts in a forum for a game that's not out yet.

And you're not even beta testing.

5. You put a sign on your door that reads "Strategic Air Command War Room. Authorized Personel Only."

I've done these you said. But the sign was a little different.

-When you hack IV server just to go into Defcon pages and grab one of those demos.
-You even use Uplink Dev CD to mod your Uplink with real-world hacking capability and managed to intrude into the servers.
-When you fortify your house into a nuclear shelter.
-When you own one of the nuke warheads and the launch gantry.

-When I know I won't be handpicked because I was a 100% lurker, unable to find any spot to join in.

...When you sit in front of your computer with this page open for half an hour, trying to think of something to add to the list that isn't redundant.

...And then realizing that <OMGNDA>.

I watched it 8 times since my first. On average, I watch it about every ~2 years.

When you manage to think about another Wargames movie from Defcon.

This was probably said elsewhere on the forum, but it's true:

You didnt just BUY the big red japanese button, you bought parts from various hardware stores and RadioShacks, etc., wired them together and programmed them for USB, so that when it does come out youve got your own button to kill everything.

OR

You plan on killing everything with nukes you've bought on the black market or built yourself, and have built self-destruct buttons into all your computers AND the network modem like the laptop on thebroken so that when the feds come to arrest you for all those nukes and a criminal conspiracy, you just twist a key and all the evidence is totally destroyed.

I've actually done the second thing with my iMac, and am working on the first thing.

Your are obsessed when...

you told your boss that you need holidays 2 days before defcon comes out and 2 years after

your kind of counting days does not begin anymore with the birth of jesus but with the release date of defcon

you changed the big poster with the world map where all your costumers are marked on in your company to the stragic defcon map full of chosen targets

your whole basement is full with food and water

you ordered a air and water cleaning machine

your room is full with books about the art of leading a war

you think that CIA and other secret services are stupid because they didn't notice your order for 1200 warheads from President Putin

you laugh at George Bush because he thinks that Iran is a thread
(Doesn't he ever heard of you?)

your mobile ringtone sounds like "Today the whole world, Tommorow the whole universe"

you are playing soccer with a inflatable globe

you changed the light of your lamp from white to red

you placed big soundboxes to warn the citiens of your city to get into the bunkers

you don't brush your theeth anymore, because it is so difficult due to wearing an ABC Suit

You know you're obsessed with Defcon when:
-you franticly press every red button you encounter.
-you launch actual nukes at countries to get a feel for Defcon before it comes out.
