make HOSTING server closing program more difficult!

actually i just accidentally closed defcon while hosting agame.. and all is gone


there should be at least a dialog bo... for confirmation!

(i used the x on the window..... (windowed version))

Yikes! Don't use the x on the window. It doesn't actually terminate Defcon. If you check your Task Manager you'll notice its still running and you'll have to terminate from there.

When I was playing the other day I was opeing the menu to turn off radiation. When I went to to close down the window I hit ESC twice and the whole game closed down on me. I was thinking man are those guys going to be pissed at me for shutting down the game like that. About 3-10 secounds later I realized the game was still going just had to click on the icon in the bottom right.

Mont, as for the thread still existing ( which i have encountered various times. ) would hosted games persist?

Yep sure do. In fact, I think it could be possible to use this method to host multiple games on one machine, may need to change the ports though. :wink:
