The timer?

Anyone else noticed that timer in lower left corner of Defcon website is actully 1 hour off? Release date is Sept. 29, 18:00 but the counter is going to hit zero a hour later... Or maybe it's just my PC or something?

So you mean if I live in a different timezone than GMT it is always going to show me a wrong countdown time? Because it's going to hit zero tomorrow at 20:00 my time, which is GMT +1, so it's going to be 19:00 in England which is wrong anyway...
Oh yes, now I get it - the timer is only relevant for people in GMT timezone...

The counter is going to hit an hour later because 18:00 GMT is 19:00 BST, and I've a feeling that the counter is running off of the server time (which also happens to be BST).

Well I'm in the UK, and the timer lands on 7:00 for me, which is wrong.

Actually it's a front for IV to work out the best nuclear war stratagy. We play a "game", but in reality we're building a database of nuke movements. Then IV will hijack some nukes and will return the world to British Empire rule. I know Mark would be very happy to do this

The counter is right, the world is going to end at 6PM GMT tomorrow.

The counter does not change based on people who visit the site. IJK_Principle - you are in DST so you are actually GMT+2.

So for us Brits it is all happening at 7PM.
