Keep in mind the second case though: that is, a military installation is placed close enough to a city so it would be in the blast radius.

Nukes splash damage.

Want to know how big the splash is? Follow these steps.

Step 1: click the "Orders" icon so that it shows trajectories permanately

Step 2: Fire a nuke

Step 3: Follow the red "Order" line from the nuke to its target. At the target you will see a red circular crosshair. The nuke explosion has the same diameter as the circle target.

-----------------------------
This is useful to know if you are naval nuking.

I personally target in front of enemy buildings just a tad in order to shave 2 or 3 seconds off my missile's travel time to its destination. Splash damage kills far less civilians though than a direct hit.

Thanks all folks
