New rules! Check the website!
Game mode: Tournament Mode - Each games runs about 45 mins to 1 hour. (This use to read "Standard 30 Minute game" - it was changed to reflect recent information.)
Players per match: 6 in 1st Round matches. 4 in Round 2. 4 in US vs. EU Final.
Time: Each match will start on the hour. EU and US are on different time schedules. See their respective sections Here.
Place:We will meet in IRC on irc.uplinkcorp.net in channel #defcontour - participants should join this channel a reasonable amount of time before each match to recieve server information, additional instructions, or other information (10 to 15 minutes before?).
Price: Honor. To be the first winner of an tournament with retail players.
Rules:Anything goes. Spectators are allowed.
NoShow List If a match participant does not show up by 10 minutes before the start time of a match, that participant's position becomes threatened. It will be announced that the first available person on the NoShow List will get the position if the original participant does not show up within 5 minutes before match start.

Put me in Group 3. I'll be around with my username. EDIT: Depending on turnout, you can bump me up to Group 2 to fill it up if necessary.

I'd love to join in, but 9PM GMT - that's 3PM MDT (Mountain Time, Daylight Savings, US) - and the last group (10:30) is 4:30PM MDT - I won't be off work until 6:30PM MDT (12:30AM GMT). By the time I get home (1 hour drive), download Defcon, and play a few runs, it'll be 8 or 9PM MDT (2 or 3AM GMT) before I'd be ready to go.
Maybe we need a seperate tournament for us Western United States folks...

This is my first post in these here parts. I've been lurking since last week when I heard the news that Sept. 29 is the release and pre-orders are available. Placed my pre-order right then. Can't wait until Friday. Anyhow, back to your regularly scheduled forum topic ...
