This sounds interesting.

I MIGHT contribute, but that's if I can get the game downloaded in time and play it. I work on Friday and Saturday, so we'll see.

if I join, I'm either Kuth, Norsehound, or Taiidan.

Put me in Group 3. I'll be around with my username. EDIT: Depending on turnout, you can bump me up to Group 2 to fill it up if necessary.

Any chance of allowing spectators? I'd like to see a few of these others.

I'd join, but I'm afraid I'd be no use whatsoever =). I've never been good at picking up on RTS's quickly, so I'll start being decent a couple days after release ;-)

Up to each server, but I for one would be rather keen to spectate... for, you know educational purposes...

I wouldn't mind just getting into the game to play. I'd hate to loose, but it seems to be a Darwinian (no pun intended) mode of evolution.

Fortunately most of us can adapt and learn from our mistakes. Others, indicated so far, might have a little harder of a time...

I'd love to join in, but 9PM GMT - that's 3PM MDT (Mountain Time, Daylight Savings, US) - and the last group (10:30) is 4:30PM MDT - I won't be off work until 6:30PM MDT (12:30AM GMT). By the time I get home (1 hour drive), download Defcon, and play a few runs, it'll be 8 or 9PM MDT (2 or 3AM GMT) before I'd be ready to go.

Maybe we need a seperate tournament for us Western United States folks...

---

Oh, yeah, BTW -
This is my first post in these here parts. I've been lurking since last week when I heard the news that Sept. 29 is the release and pre-orders are available. Placed my pre-order right then. Can't wait until Friday. Anyhow, back to your regularly scheduled forum topic ...
