Does DEFCON have an IRC channel?

Postby Gunrun » Thu Sep 21, 2006 4:32 pm

Topic. Just I am really getting into IRC, and even though replys come thick and fast in here, it does not match the speed of IRC.

He's an ub3r-n00b, don't bother explaining stuff so complex to him. Notice how he decided to edit the post rather than delete it. What a ub3r-n00b. :P

That you try and pay attention to what you've been told, stop asking questions that people can't answer, and maybe go read the main website to see what information there is.

It just seems that the forums have had a sudden influx of 12 year olds who seem to act as though they have never had the internet before, they dont search for topics even after other members have instructed them to befor the next post, to which they reply "STFU NOOB! OMG! U NERD!" or words to that effect, personally, If I find stupid questions, I dont even bother replying, not even worth the effort.

Dont get me wrong, Im not saying that new members are bad, I can understand if they dont search before they make thier first post, but if they start flaming other users for advising them, they are no longer a newb but a n00b.

none of this probably makes any sense but oh wellm, It sounded right in my head

The voices in your head tell you not to reply, too?
