Now i just hope the game is good, don't usually buy lower budget games.

The lower buget is what makes it good.

You are right about that one. Not only are they NOT a bank legaly in any shape or form, they will instantly side with buyers, not sellers, when there are any disputes. And they have the power, and will use it, to close your account for any reasons and freeze your assets in that account.

Aha, I recognise that address. Pity they seem to be re-installing apache atm, otherwise I'd take a futher look into it.

Pre-ordered and Pre-loaded off Steam yesterday.(To those who were asking or don't know when you pre-order a game on Steam you usually can also Pre-load the game, so you already have the game but it's locked down tightly until the day that they release it.)

Hah, I wonder if it would be a good idea to buy items from a customer on Ebay if his name is Ebaysucks?(Or something along those lines.)

Well, given that the order number of the first pre-order that I made was a little over 7000, and that the last posted number was over 9600, we can assume that IV have made over 2500 sales since pre-orders started. I would imagine that most of those are Defcon pre-orders, but many of them may also be Uplink orders, Darwinia orders, or orders for posters, soundtracks, &c.

Who are those 2 heretics at the bottom of the poll? And those; Those 13 with their blasphemous doubts! Destroy them! Destroy them, I say!

Preordered a week ago through IV. I wish I had decided to get Uplink through IV instead of Steam :(

I preloaded off of Steam.

I've come to a point now where I can live without a box and without a manual. All I want is what I paid for - the game. So to me, Steam is all that I need and all that I want. There are so many games coming out now and I just wish they were all on Steam because of its simplicity. I can pay, download and play all on the same day and without leaving my house. Without doing anything other than open Steam - and my wallet.

Sure I could by direct from IV but I already have a Steam account with 20 games on it. There's a possibility sure to buy direct from IV. But if it wasn't for Steam most people would never probably have heard of Darwinia.. let alone Defcon. It would be one of those games that never made it out of the UK or Europe. I have bought things on Steam that I would never have bought otherwise.

Otherwise I have to go to a local shop where I pay a huge premium or order through some online store interstate only to have to wait for it to arrive and to pay extra for postage. In this case I doubt Defcon would even show up on the shelves in Australia.

I just ordered my copy.

Order # 100xx

How many of those 10k orders are for Defcon? The earliest quoted order id on this thread is 714x (from what I can find)

Looking forward to this.
