No offense, but I think I'll just wait and see instead of getting all excited.

It's okay if you don't believe the time he gave you, but I'd appreciate it if you were a little bit nicer to Montyphy.
He's helped a ton with the testing, and wants Defcon to be as good as it can be.

we are getting some what off topic here, and no answer to the original question, how high is IV's confidence that defcon will release in the month of september like the road map suggests?

Hello?! Late September does not equate to mid-September. I'm sorry to stoop to being an ass, but betas are still being pumped out and the lists of bugs is subsiding. I can tell you that the roadmap does not lie. With the rate we're going at, this game is going to be out the door in Late September, meaning before the Gregorian calendar reads October 2006.

And lets just remind everyone that we beta-testers are not allowed to give out any specific dates and all and any official info will always be given out via the proper channels. Everything else is speculations and pointers on where to find the roadmap-info yourself.

One would presume so.

Possibly. It is also possible that IV will not be taking pre-orders. If you can order the game on release day, then download immediately, there is no reason to take pre-orders, as it does not get the game into people's hands any faster. However, pre-orders are on the roadmap, so I am probably wrong.

It'll be released on the 21st September, because I made a deal with mighty Zeus in exchange for my ancestral spear and shield, which he coveted greatly in his arrogance.

*sigh* must i keep saying this. I have foreseen the release of DEFCON and its the 22nd of september. A Friday. The day alot of developers decide to release their games. Fortunately for me, i just so happened to pick this date in the sweep. Ohhhh if only yoda could see me now, he'd be so proud.

Fool, Introversion couldn't be more different from most developers.
