He's probably lurking.

Is there a way to show the last time a user was online?

The forum I was talking about is also heavily moderated. When you first join, you're limited to post only in the "Newcomer Boards" until you've been a member for three days. In addition, you're not allowed the ability to edit your posts until you've reached a post count of 1,681. And you can't delete until after you reach 11,257.
Some people talk because they have something to say. Others talk because they have to say something.

Wow. Those are rather arbitrary cut-offs. I assume that the boards in question also have a much higher volume -- not even SBM would be able to delete posts :)

Not allowed to edit your posts? What's the point of that? :?

Don't they get completely spammed with double and triple posts?

Indeed, there are probably never less than 200 members signed on at any given time, and around 5,000 "guests".

And although I cannot find any indicator of just how many registered members there are, I do know that there are 35 main ranks in effect, and the highest rank, "Plumber" requires a post count of 37,213.

Absolutely. It really helps people get their post count high enough to edit.

Sounds like GREAT fun! I mean who comes on a forum to have fun anyway. Sounds like a forum for boring people to me who have to talk about serious subject matter. MEH! Makes me feel sick thinking about it!
