I have relatively little first hand experience with bad prisoner behavior in Prison Architect, but it seems like if the gangs were modelled to work anything remotely close to the original post layout, then the algorithms for determining what kind of behavior the gang partakes in is largely already i...

Will read the rest of the post in a bit, but had to stop and post this first... Why do new prisoners automatically have 0 friends? If 8 prisoners are dropped off at the prison in the morning, isn't is likely that some of these prisoners already became friends while in county lock up? Or perhaps they...

Clicking the edit button and spacing that out would have been the far better option. I will address the slow-down issue as well. First of all, it's not really related to how good your computer is. The game is prone to slowdowns even on best of the best computers. But the slowdown is related to map s...

Some of the issues like stuck guards are easy to fix. Just left-click the stuck guard and right click in a nearby open square. He'll drop what he's doing and step over there. Either he or another guard will then restart the task he was doing (escorting or searching prisoners, etc...). The above met...

As Overtkill mentioned, PA is only using one of his 6 cores currently. The problem is that Prison Architect isn't multi-threaded yet. (Did I or did I not address this in my first post in this thread?) A program can only use multiple cores if that program is multi-threaded. If a program is single-thr...

Again, another one at it and your missing the whole point. You just essentially took one extract of what I said and turned it into a counter-argument that doesn't work. This is an Alpha. Exactly. Hence the point that I'm making that their development resources in this particular area is a waste. Ar...

I'm pretty certain that your Operating System is in charge of assigning resources to programs. In fact... if anything other than your Operating System had this power, then games (and other programs) (particularly in alpha) would be crashing computers. Instead, simply the individual program is prone ...

Multiplayer just isn't something that can be put into all games. Its like trying to make multiplayer for games like: - Lemmings - Cities XL - From Dust - Tropico series - Papers, Please - Surgeon Sim etc. It just doesn't always work. This list is far from complete, by the way. Prison Architect is s...

How many generators do you have, and how many capacitors do you have? If you have more than one generator on the same circuit, they will not work. Period. Take them off to different circuits. If you only have one generator, be sure that you have enough capacitors, and when the circuit breaks and shu...

The only difference between a staff-only door and a prison door is that non-guard staff can open the staff-only door without a guard. Prisoners are still stopped by staff-only doors, unless I'm mistaken and escaping prisoners can open these doors freely. So this can help from slowing down traffic in...

I made a comment about this before sort of. Basically, rather than the user setting a number, the game can just look at your number of cells and always try to keep you at least at maximum capacity. The game would send you a few more over capacity too. You're required to have a holding cell, and pris...
