What mouse issues are you having, and is there any pattern to where the crashes occur? What levels? What sort of things are you doing when it crashes?

That would be my guess at least, since it's been doing that with all the revisions of the new patch that I've tested. Official word back then was "Please note that this beta reports that there is a newer version available (1.1.0). Please ignore this for now; the version will be reported properly whe...

I believe that's because the version server currently is set to the old version. It would appear they're only comparing the two, and 1.2.2 is recognized as different then 1.1.0.

Hopefully it will be coming out soon. No word as of yet, though. I think it's still waiting on John's final approval, since all the testing seems to have gone okay.

A couple things I've found: 1. The bug I reported earlier about the New Version Available screen slowing down framerates only occurs when the graphical settings are set to low. 2. The "press h for help" text encounters severe graphical issues when it goes over top of a spider or any other virus that...

That alternate intro piece is really cool, and well done, but I must agree that Visitors from Dreams works better. (Maybe I'm just used to it too :P)

That video is also really neat. For some reason it reminds me a lot of The Sims on the highest speed setting.

I'll be running it on 1.2 here, so it'll probably crash. I'm also having a hard time finding something to sample framerates, and I'd hate to have to sit there with a pen and paper. :P

Hopefully the mac patch won't be too much longer. Last I saw of it it was looking pretty close to completion. Hopefully it'll be enough to quell the complaints. I can't wait to see the online store too, since I think it should increase sales considerably. And of course, I await news of <the next nex...

How exactly is that speed test being set up?

I'd be interested in running it here on the patched Mac version, just to see what sort of speed boosts we do get.

My vague comparisons by looking at the same place on the same map with different modes seemed rather erratic.

I could well say something, but I shouldn't, so I won't. Hopefully it will be soon though.

Great to see Darwinia reviews are still cropping up all over the place. More sales coming, most likely. :)

The soundtrack CD sounds great too, and I agree that it should be in the store, since some people do already own Darwinia. ;)

I can't believe it's only been two months either. All the testing ahead of time probably does it.

Pity the sales aren't what it deserves, but at least you've got enough to keep going, and the only place the numbers can go is up. :)

Re: thanks<dripping sarcasm>

There was code put in originally, and it was tested in early beta. It did not work that well (my understanding is that there were balance issues, among other things). It wasn't just balance issues, more the fact that there really wasn't anything there. Form what I've heard, you could only load up t...
