Whenever I leave a location, after whatever period of time and regardless of whether it's a new (unopened) location or not; the game crashes without producing a blackbox. Anyone know why?

I've gotten this on both Ubuntu and Gentoo AMD64 builds; with the closed source drivers. Pixel-effects is off.

ATI, nVidia? I ran it at about 2 fps...

Weirdly similar symptoms, albeit without a Windows error.
I fixed it by closing xfire :s. Ahh well...

What are the rest of your specs?
