I don't have any suggestions that could be considered worthwhile, as I'm pretty much a dumbass, but I'd like to say that from what I've seen of the page, it seems like it's well thought out. Would be worth trying out, definitely.

Not strictly nuclear I know, but I think the quote went like:

I haven't used any mods yet, or indeed have any, but nice work, my friend......this will definitely come in handy if I do decide to use them.

you might need to forward the other ports, too 5000-5001 or 5008-5009, but you're right, as far as I know, once it's been activated, you can run single player and demo without the internet
