Re: Allocating more RAM to PA?
Well I'm fine with that, but I don't think that's the origin of statements along the lines of "It lags because it does not use all cores", "It lags because t does not use enough ram", "It lags because ..." since you can't tell that by testing. Anyway my personal guess w...

Re: Allocating more RAM to PA?
If everyone who hasn't seen a single line of actual PA code could refrain from posting what causes the problem... that would be great.

Re: Allocating more RAM to PA?
Well... it uses about 1GB, I'm running the Linux version though....
What do you mean by "it won't use more than 0.5GB"? Are you getting out-of-memory errors? If not: Maybe it does not need more for what you are doing...

Re: This game should be in outer space.
What is space? Define space. Is there an outer part of it? "Outer space, or simply space, is the void that exists between celestial bodies, including the Earth." see Wikipedia I think there should be a version in a parrelel universe. iirc changing the looks is within the current modding c...

Actually I think laundries are no source of contraband. At least there is nothing shown in the contraband-view.

Re: Restricted Areas
Being able to choose if you want to have prisoners in the kitchen or not is just fine. Well, a default is just a default. It would only affect what happens right after you place it without manual changes (and thus what happens if don't research the deployment bureaucracy). You could still change it...

Up to now I haven't seen a prisoner with no relatives at all, so most likely everyone has someone to call.

You said you were recording your screen iirc. Does it work without recording?

Re: Game crash apparently at autosave
Bug reports should go to the Mantis bug tracker.
I've run a few keywords through it's search. Your issue sounds like Bug 2688. It does not have a solution yet though.

Re: [Suggestion] - Paying to fire administrators
100 workers = 50 000$ to hire. That's not nothing.
We need to pay quite some money in advance to hire staff. In my opinion instead of adding a cost to firing, there should be some ongoing benefit. For example janitors don't work without a foreman or something like that.

Re: Please post all bugs in our Mantis bug tracker, NOT here
I was hoping for a reply by one of the moderators or someone from IV as that would clear things up.
On a completely unrelated topic: Is the list of known bugs in the wiki of any relevance? It looks pretty out of date after skimming through once.

Re: [Suggestion] - Reports Screen and cleaning up the HUD
Rather than having a lot of buttons on the HUD (Foundations, Objects, Utilities, Bureaucracy, patrols, etc), allow for a completely clear section and let the player to decided on which quick-link buttons they would like to see on the HUD. (Though starting with some defaults would be a good idea). T...
