yay! god... ahem... chris says I was right! ;)

Yea...well...he's wrong too. Because I say so.

I like the idea of a blog, but for pete's sake if Vicky's a narcissist, keep her strictly on press matters. I don't want to hear her talking about how she's a fox.

EDIT
It's pronounced Vie-ree, as in the plural for Virus. Yes, it's a made-up word.

My boxed copy came in the mail just today, in a suspicious brown paper envelope. The best part? I didn't pay a dime. A perk for being a beta tester.

Everyone acknowledge the fine work of Will Morris, who boxed all your copies and mailed them.

Language Selection

There's something oddly missing from the menu system, I see. Languages. I understand there is currently only English ('english.txt' and 'Copy of english.txt') but there are people on the forums that I see doing their own translations and having no way to select them inside Defcon. Please roll this i...

I too agree, here's to having game logs added to the game!

By the way, when making suggestion threads, make them descriptive. A forum title like "Minor suggestion" says nothing, as we're in a forum dedicated to only suggestions.

I can understand that. Whenever I add CPU players into the fray, I always name them after the continents I put them in control of (for example [CPU] Africa). It would be nice to see this happen automatically.

Yea, Xbox 360 has a Windows kernel, PS3 and Wii will both have Linux kernels, too. But here's the issue with porting Defcon: hardware architectures make the porting a little difficult. It's not impossible or like decrypting the Enigma code, but it's a valid reason for Introversion (or more specifica...

Canceling A Connection

This is a small usability suggestion. When connecting to a server from the server browser, only to find out it's unable to connect you, hitting CANCEL will bring you back to the main menu. This is annoying, because I'm always going to go back to the Server Browser to look for another server that mig...

Defcon's graphics may not be 3D, but it's got a whole lotta 2D going on, more than the DS (the terrific platform that it is) could handle in a straight port. If Defcon is rewritten for the DS, it's mostly feasible, but that's not going to happen. Not by IV at least. Introversion is, however, dabbing...

F1 - F4 = Speed Settings

It would be really convenient to have hotkeys in-game for the speed setting buttons. Since the F1 through F4 keys are free (as far as I'm concerned) those would be preferred. To be more specific, hitting F1 would do the same thing as hitting the first time setting (Real Time), F2 hitting the second ...

Might I be the first to point out that Australia and New Zealand would make the least popular territory to play as? I mean, the fact that you would be barred from having nukes (they don't have any)...
