Definitely worth a bug report, I was overjoyed to get 1 DG back from a randomizer and didn't think to check if I was still eliminated!

Oh well, the little guy died again in about 5 seconds so never mind...

I was thinking they could be part of any new maps (presuming IV might have some up their sleeve at some point?), to make the (at times rather linear) flow of attack more unpredictable. An obvious use would be in Assault, perhaps having only one opening to the WMD site at any one time. Attackers woul...

Walk through walls - should be self explanatory, pick a group of DGs and they can pass through fences for a short time. Should perhaps be called "David Copperfield", but IV would probably get sued for using a trademarked name... Other possible names - "Firewall down", "Dril...

Timed fences

How about laser fences that slowly cycle through colours, or any mix of white/colours/open? These would either be deadly, open or only open to one team, perhaps for a set number of seconds or maybe random durations would be more, er, fun...

I was thinking that the AI would be less important than the map layout and sheer amount of virus, plus eggs/triffids to keep the virus coming. Darwinia worked great with a simple-ish goal, so a similar gametype for coop play has some potential. if it was possible to have multi-part objectives as wit...

How about telling us what router, what ISP and what error messages (if any) you have, and what country you are in, so that someone might be able to help you? Sometimes networking requires a bit of configuration, which usually only needs to be done once. Just because other games connect doesn't mean ...

The credits list is meant to honor the testers that helped in production of the game. And that process is ongoing - some issues have either just been found or persisted since beta phases. The most proactive testers did a great job, but surely late help is still worthwhile help? You could argue that...

Seems a bit harsh to close it off like that, since beta/pre-release testing of patches will be an ongoing effort, not to mention Linux testing whenever that happens...

Denfintely more co-op

I'm sure something can be modded together that would pit mortal enemies against a greater threat - multiplayer games vs lots of virus etc., as close to a coop Darwinia-style cleanup level as you like. It would be great to have more random danger and AI to kill, especially at the outset, without just...

To all quitters

I know there will be times when a connection drops or an emergency takes you away from the game, but please, please don't host unless you are going to stay the course. I have watched hour long Defcon battles play out on my server after I was shamefully annihilated early on, that's all part of being ...

cde, news for you: the game is out. I didn't even check the time when I posted, I had already got the early preload update thing & hadn't considered how long it would be until the full release... My beta code still doesn't work, btw, but I agree with Jelco that it feels somehow "right"...

My beta key didn't work on the preload, but then again I didn't post bugs (or much else) in the beta testing phase and wasn't included in the credits as a tester, so I figured someone just said "WTF is cde doing here?" and nuked my code. I preordered anyway, so code B worked fine where cod...

Some idiots like NeatNit and mvpe are still here but we never miss out on an opportunity to point out what fucking twats they are. ;) Now I don't know which to work on first, my newbie post count or my newly found troll status. In about 3 weeks we can all just enjoy the finished game, and the forum...

Interesting point - I hadn't noticed just how few posts I had.

Odd how threads from the Defcon & Darwinia forum aren't counting on this board, so the Multiwinia post number ignores some less whiney, less entitled posts from elsewhere.

(I know, I know, stop whining, I get it...)
