Version Control won't be an issue. I don't think there will be any further patches for Uplink.

"Win - L" or "Ctl - Alt - Del" will stop the mouse from working...

Alternatively, "C:\Windows\System32\RunDll32.exe MOUSE,disable" should do the trick. Or crash your PC (it's not exactly supported!)

No, I think he's talking about Black/Gray Wednesday. If so, he's clearly not an economist.

Sorry to hear that the whole "democratic self-govenment" thing didn't work out. Please note that re-admittance to the Empire is not automatic.

Hmm... intresting political outlook. I think I'd rather see more unity than seperation in the world, but I can see your point about decentralised decision making. Are you familer with Oates' Decentralisation Theorem? ('72, I think.) It was written about public good provision, but any cost-benifit de...

We put ourself at the center of the world map because we naturally see the world in relation to where we live. My point exactly. It's not arrogance, it just that America is so huge that you don't need to see the world in the context of other countries. Most other countries see the world in a more i...

Hmm... The US does itself no favours by being so huge . Because it is the main market for film and media, Hollywood, American politics and education tend to focus their attention on the domestic market, which means that you just can't make a blockbuster where the Americans loose, (The book of Master...

For those americans in the house, the Dambuster's were 617 Squadron, RAF Bomber Command - they were formed for one mission, using modified aircraft and a prototype weapon, manufactured by Vickers Armstrong and desi...

The forums are a lot slower now that it's on steam. The forum kinda left the game behind for a while, but we've been dragged back on topic and all the old gang have moved on to new pastures. (Mostly IRC, I think. )

It's quite a nippy game, normaly, so it sounds like something odd is going on. What are your system specs?

Next time you run the game, enter the task manager and take a look at the processes tag. If you've got more than 30/35 or so then you've got problems.
