Another theory as to why communism failed in Russia was that Russia more or less skipped the industrial (and capitalistic) phase in Marx's historical theory - thus missing out on a perhaps necessary base of socialism, which would make it impossible to reach socialism.

just created a map to test my theory. It took ~10 minutes and a lot of engineers, but there is indeed a cap on how many programs you can run in a single sitting of the game.
