I agree. Deployment screen is too vital not to get IMMEDIATELY so if you have to make the same choice every game (Chief -> Deployment for $2000) the design should be altered.

I dislike the idea of having instantaneous demo, breaks from the tone of the game.

I think if they streamline the build process a bit better, letting you plan out full buildings and then committing to the design instead of this current chop shop method this problem will resolve itself.
