Well I can't speak directly for the dev but I know in my projects there's a pretty hard line between debug and release builds that enables or disables different sets of content/functionality. It's good for delimiting things. Sometimes things break when the code becomes enabled or disabled for produ...

Thoughts on Alpha 3.1?
Pros: Love the new setup for fog of war. Best of both worlds. Small update (This is a Pro because it allows for more focused testing. Disappointing, but understandable). Cons: The sleeping Z's need to go. Hopefully staff won't be able to see through walls. He mentioned that you would be able to see ...

To the point where in fact, each unit only revealed a very small area around himself (should probably not reveal anything if the power goes off, for example - unless they have a torch). Even CCTV could be affected. Side note.. When the power goes off, the entire area affected by the power outage sh...

but we are not in this for quickly testing things. This is going to be in Alpha for a long time, and there are not going to be Bug fixes in the Alpha, just more and more additions. I think we have it good right now. Just be happy with what you have got, and stop complaining because you don't have i...

I don't see why it would hurt to exactly have them; I, and I'm sure many others, would enjoy them. Maybe make it only possible to turn on by manually editing the settings file so that more casual players don't need to worry about it? When I've done QA for companies (Paid QA, not volenteer QA), I've...

There are dev options which are currently not included in public releases. I can see why they don't - we're testing the game not meant to be messing with it. I voted yes though, but I think a limited form would probably be best What better way to test then to be able to set up situations to test wi...

Give access to the Dev Tools
I'd like (if possible) to be given access to the dev menu we saw in the video for eurogaming. Is there a reason why it is removed from the alpha?
C'mon guys. Let us see our own dig maps and be able to place things from that big menu of staff.
