He means you are quite a new player. To be honest this has been answered quite a few times already and a search should reveal this, but since right now I cant be bothered to link the search function, I will tell you. You can be traced through anything, live server, dead server, phone, probably even...

First off, check all of the terminals. There may be a phone number or alternative access into the LAN which might help. Second, my recollection is that once a lock is forced, it remains unlocked, even if you log out then log back on again, so you might be able to force the locks, disconnect, then re...

Just to see if I understand the facts correctly: several years after the game was published and distributed, someone wanting money contacted the game publisher claiming he had written some of the music used in the game in the previous decade, though he had no concrete proof of authorship and his id...

It is possible that Uplink, a more-than-decade-old game, doesn't run well on a 64-bit machine running Windows 7. Have you tried running the game in compatibility mode? In fact, WHAT have you tried? Your "bug report" is useless, as it provides absolutely no information about what has been h...

And you are a jackass. If you want help, ask for it. Provide as much information as you can, because that is the only thing that is going to get you any help at all. If you want to complain, feel free---no one is going to stop you---but recognize that it is utterly unproductive, and doesn't help any...

If you didn't want to register an account on the forums, you could have submitted a bug report via the Contact page . A bug report submitted through Google apps is unlikely to rise to the level of notice, though I don't know what that looks like from a developer standpoint, so who knows. I also have...

Confused am I... So is it not a legitimated question to ask who gives Support for a software? For us, who are not familar with the different version history of Uplink for PC, Linux, Mac it's really confusing. And nowhere, only in the App Store, I found the version Number 1.6.5 before. Again, I don'...

Uplink 1.6.5 appears to be the version from the App Store, which is supported by IV, as per the text that you quoted (though I don't know where that quote came from in the first place). The post to which you are responding is 2 years old, and predates the App Store version, so I don't understand why...

Poor ambush marketing attempt?

He also posted something that consisted mainly of links to h3rbal v14gr4 or golf clubs or something in the IV lounge. That was deleted, and the user banned.

There are much, much stupider questions that have been asked. For instance, people who don't seem to realize that Uplink is a game, and want help hacking Bank of America.
