Re: Gaurds not finding tunnels. Prisoners escaping randomly

It sounds to me like this is what happens when you buy the western land expansion: 1: The existing land is shifted left, out from underneath the prison. 2: The new land is added on the right and slid in under the prison. I would guess that the "object position grid" starts at 0,0 in one of...

I hired enough chefs/cookers (30) to ensure feeding everyone in a 230 or so prison. Built a canteen that holds everyone at once in the very middle of the prison so everyone can get food in 1 hour and have free time after so anyone still eating can finish. The meals are at 8 AM freeing up most guards...

I find with very large prisons that all seems to go OK until the game goes over around 640 Mb of RAM. I have a 2nd monitor with system and process stats up and running on it. Once that happens the lag begins and then gets worse until it's unplayable by around 750 mb and above. I once let it go till ...

I edited a save game made a few seconds after starting a large map. Gave myself a million dollars to start. Then, over 4 game days spent 965 thousand building a 224 cell prison with all the trimmings. Canteen big enough to seat all of them, 30 cooks & 30 cookers in the kitchen, 18 or so fridges,...

I'd be happy with just having more efficient workmen... I am currently fiddling with a large prison that has 128 saw/presses total. After an 8 hour work shift, the workmen were still unloading sheet metal deliveries FOUR HOURS after all the prisoners headed off to dinner... Ugh. So 8 workers get ass...

Maybe move the reports button to the left a bit and then run the red icons up the right side of the screen? That's pretty much unused screen real estate unless you buy the plot of land across the road... Or leave reports alone and just start the red icons above it. Also could make the blue icons hav...

Path finding hammering a CPU does not seem to be the issue as far as I can tell... I'm still inclined to think it's a memory issue. PA is simply not requesting enough RAM from the OS. I have dual monitors and if I leave a task manager running on screen 2 while I play, I see 3 cores at about 15-20% u...

when you "define" rooms they are added to a list or stack somewhere. The 1st room defined is the "primary" room. Then each other room in the order added. My prison has 5 shops. The "first" one I defined (10x34) only has 44 tables in it and 20 workers assigned. NO saws o...

Some of the issues like stuck guards are easy to fix. Just left-click the stuck guard and right click in a nearby open square. He'll drop what he's doing and step over there. Either he or another guard will then restart the task he was doing (escorting or searching prisoners, etc...). The above meth...

+1 And yes, now is not yet the time to fiddle with that sort of thing in the game. As of now, even 1x bogs down after a while and needs a restart/reload at least once per game "day" to get speed/smoothness back. As it's apparently needed to get the prisoners to change clothes in A12 anyway...

For realism purposes, unless it's an electronic door , I'm not sure how the player would be able to nullify keys in a physical door within seconds, but that's another discussion. The handy tube of Crazy Glue that all of my guards are required to carry? "Holds this prisoner suspended in air!&qu...
