Hey, uninstalling GPGnet made it impossible for me to play Alpha Protocol. I never even would have noticed that was the cause if the two games didn't share a publisher, because Alpha Protocol had nothing to do with GPGnet.

I think a reputation system should have two axes: harshness and effectiveness. Harsh and effective prisons get the nasty, big-money cons. Gentle and effective prisons get the low-risk, high-profile cons (think Enron). Harsh and ineffective prisons get cheap, nasty cons. Gentle and ineffective prison...

Good grief, I need to defend xander. What is the world coming to? The last two alphas have come out about five weeks after the previous release. Since they're trying to do monthly releases, and thirty-five days is about one month, then even if we had to wait until Monday on the fifth of Augus...

You don't need to place anything. You need to use the Foundation tool.

No, the foundation tool will build walls, but you need to use the foundation tool to have an indoor area. It's right there next to Materials, which is where your walls are.

Interesting. I had considered putting work after my morning meal (to help with the cleaning of trays) and before the evening meal (to help cook), but I've never quite gotten around to putting workers in the kitchen.

Example: If you have a shower with only shower heads and you have 1 hour of shower per day then the need for showers will be at max. level right at this time. And they have no distraction at that time because there is nothing else they can do in the shower. The same with the kitchen. If you have a ...

You need to keep the area specced as a workshop and have some prisoners assigned to it. During work time, they will eventually move the disassembled saw and press to your storage area, assuming they are allowed to go there—make sure they are.

I'm not sure if I want this to be the type of game where we can run an evil prison. Authoritarian, sure—I wouldn't expect any less. But administering beatings to prisoners isn't all that far from prison shower scenes down the road of "things I don't want this game to be about" when you con...

*sigh*. Why must everything be App-ified... If it was a web page or pdf it'd already be platform independent. Because what good is something if I don't need to download it and consume hard drive space? If I could just access everything from the web, why, I'd never pay for it and I wouldn't need to ...

No, actually that train of thought doesn't apply to other prisoners. If the idea of putting Clark Kent in your prison is to give us a unique challenge, you completely short-circuit your goal by making the challenge beatable by hiring one additional guard.

Nice. If you ever do that again, you should make it prisoners vs riot police. You don't need to research them at the Bureaucracy screen: just call them in from the Emergencies button.

Oh, so we'd know who he was, and he's just a $100/day tax? Wow, that's... Not interesting at all. Unless you have to micromanage the following of him with a guard, in which case I edit my save file or start a new prison.

I'd rather it be unpredictability you could plan for... I mean, how do you contain the guy who can break walls down with his bare hands? It's one thing if he needs a drill, a sledgehammer, and lots of free time on a wall. It's another thing entirely if you have a 1% chance every prison to get Clark ...
