This game starts to be very much like Theme Hospital. Which is great! In that game, some of the staff evolves too. But basically through training. Well, I think that the staff could 'gain XP' with time and be better. Some traits to will add some to the game too. =)

I woudn't get the update right away though. The lasr of them were plagued with bugs. Better to wait a couple of days.
By the way, those bugs were so obvious they didn't even needed us to test it. The bugbear kind. Nonetheless, IV is doing a great job. =)

I think that's a fantastic idea. My suggestion is that the devs use what they already have to do theses features - SICKNESS: Prisioners get sick. "Sick" status can be implemented to slow a prisioner down and can be decreased by a doctor. Once a Sick status get full, the prisioner dies. It ...
