Out to get you personally? No not at all. Think of me as kind of a devil's advocate, or an asshole. I speak my mind on things and I don't hold back, ever. Hasn't always made me friends, but if you don't like me as I am I don't give a damn. However like many on here, sick of seeing rip offs of Uplin...

Yeah, I only registered for it last week, but I've got a letter through already. Maybe ring back next week? I'm sure the status for the trademark will have changed by then. Personally I think the name is appropiate and quite catchy. I'm sorry if you don't like it, but it's too late now. :( Also, it ...

After checking with the UK trademarks authority, you don't actually own it. No one does, yet.

It's been filed and accepted, it takes 3 months to update their database.

1) Site says nothing bar the name. Not really very good for advertising a game. No screen shots, nothing. 2) Video sounds.....lots appear "borrowed" from Uplink. Connection sounds etc. Did you get permission to use them? 3) The name. Applesque naming is NOT unique, funny, or good. Overall...

even the "retro" mmo has sprites jacked from a free game engine I once used for a design class last year. The saddest part is that engine was written in VB! Everything on that site is listed as 'in devlopment', hasn't had a progress report in 3 months, and the hacking game is apparently '...

Your processor wouldn't be able to use more than 4GB unless it was natively operated at 64-bit. :P Not exactly. i686 (Pentium Pro and beyond) processors support something called Physical Address Extension (or PAE), which allows them to address up to 64GB of RAM despite being 32-bit processors. This...

Introversion have been helping me with concepts and ideas regarding Nanobyte Online and its robustness in design. Nanobyte Online, in my opinion, is the closest thing you'll get to an online Uplink (that an ByteLink, but I haven't tried that MMO yet).

Wasn't directed at you, just at the previous attempts I've seen around the community. :)

The problem is there have been many, many attempts at making 'Uplink Online' and none of them have got off the ground. This is simply not true. http://www.bytelink.org is off the ground. I'd say we are hovering a good 2 centimeters above the ground. I say good luck to him, we all need all the encou...
