hi

everything worked OK for me out of the box. i have an AMD athlon machine with 512 MB of RAM , and Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 Sarge, ,as desktop i use GNOME, i had no problems with 1.2.1b installer, and the 1.2.1 installer also worked flawlessly.

There was no CGI. It was drawn in by hand. You are incorrect, sir. There were many CGI composite sequences in the game. The lightcycles were CGI for instance. It was primative, but not hand drawn.
