Contraband supply - Is the chart broken?

The release notes specifically mention that the Contraband tab

"shows the supply of these items, representing how many of those items are owned by the prisoners"

I'd assume that it should be decreased to (at least close to) zero after a shakedown, but it doesn't happen. Is it a bug?

I normally have two shower times, when they get up and when they goto bed. I tried the "free time" regime and really did not like it as needs were not been met well imo, but a lot of people rely on it i dont understand it. :/ My prisoners simply love free time. After an hour of lunch and ...

That's correct.
I'm only asking the question from a game logic perspective. It makes little sense to me to talk about these separately if you can neither increase, nor decrease these separately.

Re: Pathing & Movement

(Before anyone barks at me for not posting in the alpha forums; it's mainly because I want a public opinion and I'm not simply whining about a bug.) So I've searched around but haven't noticed in the IV forums any news on pathing. I really like that even though this game is 2d, the units don't only...

Apart from gangs, drug-sniffing ponies and whatnot, if only two bugfixes can fit in the release schedule, please be these: - Prisoners don't fulfill their clothing need - Workshop items (saw, press, metal, blank plates) can't be dismantled/dumped by workers. Most of my problems would be solved if on...

Why are bladder and bowel separate needs...?

... if they both get triggered by Food and both can be fulfilled using the same object (Toilet). Isn't it a bit redundant? Am I missing something? Can you control the way these needs increase somehow?

[Suggestion] Patrols, idle guards and zones

Some ideas on how to tweak the way patrols and zones work: - If the doors leading to a Staff only zone are open (either locked open, or opened by a staff member) the zone should only prevent prisoners from entrance if there's either a guard patroling in the zone, or a camera is monitoring the zone. ...

[Suggestion] Interconnections between existing features

As I see, currently the main thing which prevents PA from becoming a really deep, layered gameplay experience is the lack of interconnections between features. There's a whole bunch of features (objects, rooms) which can only be used for a single thing and using them only have positive effects, and ...

Construction Glitch: Your delivery area is full. Your storage is full. Those workers have probably picked up a task, the material for which haven't arrived yet - and can't even arrive as there's no place for it. Suggestion: Free up some space in Storage room, free up some space in Delivery area. If...

Everyday at 8 am you recieve a random number of prisoners based on your map size: Small between 8 and 16 Medium between 16 and 24 Large between 24 and 32 Now the securitylevel of your prisoner generates a random sentence, the higher the level the longer the sentence. With these factors you get to y...

Well, there is a minimum size to prevent that. But I mean, when I create a 5x5 workshop I can place 4 machines in there (so that there is much space between them) Could you actually show that 5x5 layout with 'much space' between the 3x1 machines? I can't really imagine that without making the works...

Do you also have a Yard? A common room? I found those rather pointless.

I kinda like the idea, here are my two cents: "1. New prisoners have no friends. " - not necessarily true. Some prisoners arrive with a part of their sentences actually passed (probably in another prison) They might know each other and be friends/enemies. I also think that low friendship l...
