Speaking of more ammunition. . . . http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/09/17/romney-faults-those-dependent-on-government/ Might not be the best idea to accuse almost half the population of the country of being dependent and lazy because they, apparently believe to be “entitled to health care, to...

Bush: http://thinkprogress.org/security/2012/09/13/843551/reagan-bush-romney-iran-1980-election/ Again, I have to wonder...

I'm not sure if "special precautions" and "without good justification" are quite the same thing. Taking precautions when killing an animal is still against the law if there was no reason to kill it in the first place.

Oh aye, I know about what ends up on the ballots, I'll be getting an absentee ballot form in the post in time for the election after all! Don't forget hospital boards too! That happens in Florida at least. I've even had mail arrive here in Scotland about why I should totally vote for the Republican ...

Well, technically it's a Republic from what I understand, and the members of the electoral college aren't all elected directly either(?), and the popular vote for president is actually irrelevant, so the presidency isn't really decided by the people, even if they make it seem like it is! Of course, ...

It doesn't, I was just pointing out the irony that the countries most similar to the US are places like Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc. filled with exciting puritanical values and disturbingly religious politicians. :P [Also the country where a centre-left President gets on better with the Conservative PM ...

This discussion actually made me think of how bizarre the US is among the international community, mostly because it's perhaps the only one western country that is so unabashedly right-wing, heck, you're probably one of the very few countries in the world where that's the case. I dunno, I'd say Ira...
