Re: Are books a 'game changer' in terms of personal property
Yeah, gangs would be huge in terms of a prison economy. That is why It is cool that they are going 1.0 sometime this year, BUT there are some stuff that are huge game changers that are pending. On the subject of Gangs and also Contraband I really want them to work in some rudimentary form of 'prison...

Re: Pastafarianism not represented in the game. FIX PLS!!
So what would a pastafarian priest look like, other than a collander on his head? That said we should start a campaign of 'donating sprites' to get 'em into the game. Yes, that would get us a big variety of religious leaders, but we could also donate sprites for additional inmates, employees and war...

Re: Pastafarianism not represented in the game. FIX PLS!!
I remember when I was watching the video they where asking if the church was inclusive to Atheists. In my head I was yelling "No, they go to the library!".

Re: Are books a 'game changer' in terms of personal property
Also hopefully when you look at the path a contraband item took, it would start with where the prisoner exchanged it. Unless the prisoner is a CI, you will not find out who he traded with, which gives incentive to flip more CI's.

Re: library
Also the new Literacy need can create a kind of Catch-22 situation in where your prisoners need books, you send them to the Foundation reform program learn basic reading in order to get the books sorted in the library, however since they already have a need for Literacy (it doesnt even have to be &...

Re: Shower Time
Yeah, in all honestly showering is fairly flexible. Personally I put a shower in each cell (makes the cell 2 spaces longer for a shower, toilet, half wall and drain) and prisoners use it when in lockdown or free time. Also I put a shower in the yard and prisoners use it during yard time. Sure, it ma...

Re: Noticed an improvement that doesn't seem to be listed!
For me they've either seemed to sit in the canteen, or stay in their cells. Personally I think that the way work currently works is a terrible waste of your potential slaves *ahem* I mean down and outs who need to be rehabilitated. I want shifts! Get everyone to work! i agree with this..furthermore...

Re: Last [SUGGESTIONS] before PA is completed!
Yup, basically the only thing I think is not feasible and I'm not sure if I want is multiple floors. I'm old enough to have played a lot of 2d games with multiple floors and having a 'switch floor button' is usually the only means. The only thing I did not see (or missed) on your list is a big incre...

Re: Prison Architect will be released this year. Thoughts?
I think what they are referring to is the end of the alpha... not the complete finished/polished game. Besides, they have never stated a full road map for the game. Whilst towers are already present in the form of a mod... I don't see multi floor happening in PA. Gangs is a possibility and AI behav...

Re: Prison Architect will be released this year. Thoughts?
Honestly I think they can release it at any point AFTER they spend a few months squashing bugs. That said like everyone on the forum I have a list of things I would like to see, but they can come 'after' the 1.0 release. The only things I think they should implement before releasing are: Status effe...

Re: Are books a 'game changer' in terms of personal property
Yeah, I've had a few discussions on this forum as to how a comisar would work. I was informed that every prisoner gets a 'cash account' which would wreck prisoners exchanging cash for contraband, BUT that is where something like your cigarettes or stamps kicks in. A comisar would be great though, gi...

Re: Parole Bonus and Penalties
I do hope moodlets are able to influence the percentage, and maybe the moodlets should be invisible. So for example if a prisoner has NEVER committed an infraction (which can be tough since they are contraband magnets) they might get a huge bonus. There could be several degrees of this. Ultimately w...

Are books a 'game changer' in terms of personal property?
So I was wondering, do you think Books are a game changer in terms of having property that is transferable, consumable and perishable. The fact that books are stocked, checked out, used regularly, stashed and then lost or returned. I do hope this opens things up for contraband to be traded and consu...

Re: Next Update
I wonder about bunkbeds since it is not a 3d game but just double cells would be great, which I think some people have modded. As for death sentence the parole system is a bit of an inspiration... executing a prisoner will give you a cash bonus. Executing an INNOCENT prisoner will come with a penalt...

Re: [suggestion] Books => Library Trolley, Bookshelves
In the past one mod maker had created a library trolley. Maybe somebody can make a new mod that turns it into a 'bookcase on a cart' so people can borrow books from it and when empty it gets rolled back to the library to be restocked. If somebody can do that with food too (deliver a food cart to cer...
