I really, really enjoyed New Super Mario Brothers on the Wii. As a single player game, it played very much like SMB 3/World, which is, honestly, all I could ask for. Now if only someone could put together a Sonic the Hedgehog game that played like the side-scrolling platformers of the Genesis era, ...

Also, Bayonetta and Darksiders today! Rejoice! I did rejoice muchly (right after rejoicing my bothering to get a 360) and then I got my ass handed to me. Repeatedly. Three times by Fortitudo. And a million and one times by Grace and Glory. Bayonetta's absurdly powerful and all, but she's total glas...

Do you have a link for it? Googling 'The Void' is about as unproductive as googling 'tits' while looking for birds.

Also, Bayonetta and Darksiders today! Rejoice!

Am I missing something here? I have to start over every time - how would you be able to take your ship over regardless?

I'll have to disagree with both of you there. I played Borderlands single player from start to finish and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. It's pretty light on the RPG elements, it's true (you have your WoW-style loot, and you get to improve your talents every time you level up, but that's abo...

Last week the CS department set up a Console Gaming Night where I touched on Guitar Hero/Rock Band for the first time. Technically speaking it was the second time, but the first time was when a housemate was finished with his session in the living room and pushed the controller in my hands, which w...

I'm a big fan of Hunted Forever, so much so that I spent a week or so trying to make a similar game of my own.

Not trying to derail this thread, but Jordy, if you don't stop being such an abusive twat, I'm going to ban you.
Congratulations, Feud.

Tactinomicon: The Flow of Battle

Work on Tactinomicon has crawled to a stop over the last 2 months as all of my coding juice has been poured into Darwinia+, but given that I had the entire bank holiday weekend free, I decided to do some work on it and thought I would share a couple of developments with the handful of people who mig...

I'm asking because if feels a bit weird to be able to change a mage to a warrior on a whim. Characters will level up, yes. My curr...
