It's one of the series that sold me on the game though, so I'd say worth watching for new folk. wow...that boy can sell anything then. ;) I was almost tempted to buy farming simulator after seeing him & that duncan guy play it...lol... LOL... It's possible I also bought Farming Simulator.

You have a lot of data load errors there; you might have a corrupt download. Try getting a new copy off the wiki and see if that fixes it.

Just read through 4 pages of random nonsense to complain that it's ridiculous to have to sign up for yet another account just to post bugs ... I already have two just to use the forum for this alpha (and they're plaintext authentication for bonus points). Started to post a bug earlier and frankly I'...

You probably have a multi-core CPU - the game can only use one core. PA will max out at 25% on my 4-core system.

Shame there isn't a way yet to escort them to certain places yet. Actually you can, just select the prisoner and then right click in any cell. It'll queue an 'escort prisoner to cell' job and a guard will come rescue him. This happens to me all the time (running alpha 4), I generally do a quick sca...

Definitely. I get tired of my useless janitors mopping out unused cellblocks while the "money maker" cells look like Fallout. :)

Interesting, I know I've seen my janitor swab out a prisoner's shower while he was in the cell... Maybe that guy was locked down though, I'll keep an eye out for this again (not that I ever see my janitors doing much of anything useful). Edit: Derp, that area was marked as a Shower (not a cell) as p...

Actually Dwarf Fortress mixes them quite well. Once your dwarves level up in valuable skills it gets painful to lose them...

That doesn't always work for me. I have on many occasions tried to lay concrete floor tiles over a wall and the game doesn't allow me to, it turn the selected area red indicating you can't do it. I have to demolish the area around the tile I want to remove and then lay down the concrete. Lay down t...

Works fine for me on Win7 64 bit. Do you have an antivirus running? If so try disabling that before you launch. Also make sure you're not running it out of a temp folder - some AV (particularly McAfee) doesn't like that. Copy it to a folder on your desktop and run it from there.

Thanks for that Mas Tnega, finally got rid of a "build something off the map" job that seemed to have appeared by itself on my large map.

One meal isn't enough to feed the population as each prisoner takes 3 servings at each meal. If you have 60 hungry prisoners, you need 180 servings to feed them. They WILL take the same food. The problem with Variety is that it requires more cookers and fridges to accommodate the different ingredie...

I've noticed that the higher the variety the less food my cooks actually make. Interesting... with Alpha 4 my cooks seem to create one meal per prisoner, hungry or not. But I'm always on the default variety (medium?). Maybe the high variety setting is a Dwarf Fortress style "lavish" meal ...
