+1, very good suggestion. Relatedly, this weekend I watched the documentary 'Serving Life' on Netflix. It's about prisoners who volunteer in their prison's hospice program. It's a dark topic and the documentary presents it unflinchingly but without getting preachy or judgmental about any of the side...

Coming to this discussion a little late, but I don't see why this would be fun. Can somebody clarify? It seems to me that it's adding to the sometimes tedious endgame management with no benefits for the fun building up part.

Your other points stand on their own, but could you explain what you mean by this one? You can already assign dogs to patrols just like guards, what are you seeing that's different?

but it doesn't punish them...that's my point, apart from getting extra cash and changing their security status, there is no other effect from what i can tell. FYI, I just discovered last night that if you resize your reports window to be narrower, you can see many more prisoners. I was able to turn off min-sec intake on a 200 prisoner setup this way.

One fairly gamy way to make sure all the meals get prepared is to set variety to 'Low'. If there's only one type of ingredient you can prepare more meals with the same kitchen and staff because of fewer trips out to get ingredients and less competition for cookers. Each burner can only hold one type...

Good thoughts. I'd suggest just having multiple quicksave slots - quicksave, quicksave 1, quicksave 2, etc., with each quicksave also showing the time it was saved. Evil Genius does this and it works quite well.
