As covered by many posts a while back, this particular feature might serve well as the final mission in the campaign story. However, being a prison simulation game first and foremost, I think the devs should focus on other things first. Fo those who are interested in this particular feature, I belie...
Agree, although in terms of gameplay, this serves no practical purpose, and requires extra resources for pathfinding. Thanks to the several optimisation passes many alphas ago, my prison with 300 capacity can still handle the extra load. Bring it on!
Personally, I feel as if those two investments shouldn't be in the game at all. In real life, investments are risk-based decisions. In this game, they're merely waiting games. I see no benefit in those two in terms of gameplay/enjoyment, apart from being one-off money cheats.
Agree with you about the importance of the nothing regime. A few alphas ago, i believe a reload would turn nothing regimes back into the default ones. i wonder if that is still the case...
I don't know how exactly the AI works, so I'm just going to speculate. The earlier the prisoner enters the canteen, the earlier said prisoner attempts to find an available serving table and bench. However, as the vast number of different prisoners enter the canteen from multiple entrances at differe...
Ran a test in a smaller canteen and it just doesn't make sense. Prisoners are taking trays at roughly the same time, so it's not that the tables are full. It could just be that the planned AI routes have already reserved those seats, despite nobody using it at that particular time. See how none of ...
I suspect that the serving tables can only accommodate a few prisoners simultaneously taking their meals. When the serving table is fully occupied, nearby prisoners are forced to go to further away tables, as the closer serving table is not available.
The first idea sounds intriguing, and would fit nicely into the rumoured temperature mechanic. For the second one, many posts I've come across tend to suggest that it's simply easier to assume that there are waste pipes underneath the water pipes.
1. It is true that sometimes, the teacher either drifts away from the classroom or stays there overnight. However, I believe that the prisoners' completion stats do not get negatively affected by this. 2. The idea for the programmes is that the better you treat your prisoners, the more likely they a...
The idea about fired staff turning into a criminal sounds intriguing. Doesn't work in sandbox mode, since the staff have no names nor anything substantial to distinguish them. In the campaign, however, it might be interesting as a one off event. The prisoner knows the ins and outs of the prison, and...
I personally like the visitation room being a separate entity from the prison, with its own pathway leading to the outside world. Basically, my visitors skip the main entrance and just enter through another gate, with the visitation being directly behind that. Of course, the down side is that any ri...
Part of the charm of the alpha is the anticipating of the next alpha. It doesn't matter that the systems are balanced are buggy as hell. As long as new and awesome things are introduced, I'm happy. (Chose mid game content and new simulations) Bug fixes and general balancing are fine and all, but the...
