Oh wow, I didn't realize the lighters and prisoner caused fires were already in the game. I've only ever provided bookshelves and I hadn't seen that yet. Guess I should remove some metal detectors. I got a fire going the cheap way earlier because my prison had spiraled into starvation due to constan...

Well I can't speak directly for the dev but I know in my projects there's a pretty hard line between debug and release builds that enables or disables different sets of content/functionality. It's good for delimiting things. Sometimes things break when the code becomes enabled or disabled for produc...

The game is completely DRM free so it's quite portable. I transfer my save back and forth between my desktop and laptop for when I'm on the go.

Mas I can't tell if your post is agreeing with me or not. My main point is (and it not meant to be taken harshly) that there is not enough fun things to do in the game for the standard gameplay to worry about something as advanced as a debug menu. Bugs are the lowest concern overall. There's not a s...

I don't think the cheats menu is needed right now. People will just end up creating non-standard conditions that bug out and delay real development. I agree that it would be awesome to geek out and see all of the inner workings but I'd like to see more time invested in the "mid-game" as ri...

I've also noticed that in the latest alpha (5) that cooks are not as good with their time. Cooked food is only being brought out after "Eat" has started. It had always seemed like they prepared during the hour leading up to the "Eat" period and had the food out on time.

I've never heard of a firefighter being electrocuted through a house before, but then again the fire department is pretty well trained when it comes to shutting off things that can be dangerous. Accidentally causing further fires or electrocution by hosing down active electronics seems like a good w...

Hehe, love the cross culture communication here. I'm slightly disappointed Chris changed the 999 callout to 911 to make it more accessible to NA, it had a bit of British charm that always made me grin. A garbage truck/lorry that can pick up skips/dumpsters would be pretty neat actually. It could be ...

Thanks for the update Chris. Have a good holiday. Seems like a great set of fixes and changes. Looking forward to playing with the firefighters and see if I can tangle up the hoses :) Staff zones are a nice change and I think what a lot of people were looking for. Seems like enough to move forward w...

Minecon Talk?

Hey folks, Has anyone seen any info about Prison Architect come out of Minecon? Introversion was supposed to talking at Minecon over the weekend with their own little talk scheduled but I can't seem to find any coverage of it whatsoever.

I guess Chris decided to change the "999" button since it's a little region specific.

I'm looking forward to see what's going to be in future campaign missions with all those cool looking specific character sprites. Really love the art style for all this.

In addition to R rotating things they also made Q and E control zooming in the latest alpha.

I was playing around with the monitors a bit earlier. Seems like a single patrol point in front of each is the best way to tell them to activate it. With a full path (even 1x4) there's a chance they might stay a little too long at one or the other.
