we're trying to generate more games I think that a "never ending" tournament could sprout from the idea we are applying to this tournament. It would have a winner every month and it would start over. Possibly 1v1, 2v2, 3v3. The scoring will have to be different. I'll get back to everyone ...

I would just let as many people as possible in, and say after X amount of players play 3 games, you determine a winner. Perfect. I'd go with this or a similiar plan right away to get games going while people are still interested in the tourney. Indeed, Tournament rules have changed please view here.
