No, no you misunderstand. The quadtrees themselves ARE the optimisation. It's literally inevitable, due to the way that they work, that will will bleed CPU cycles. It's literally impossible to get around... What are you talking about using the quadtrees for, pathfinding? What model are they replaci...

You can (without continous intake mode) deny prisoners to your prison by going into the prisoners tab and closing the jail off to Max, Medium and Min security. As for eating times, what meal varaity do you have set? meal qualaty? did you try having your meals at 7-8? because mine are serving bacon ...

Remember, a lot of updates are working on back-end systems. Stuff like "prisoners moving to the closest facilities" are surprisingly hard.

It also notes that all bugs are either due to coding errors, or compiler errors. Optimisation fits none of these categorys. A coding error such as failing to optimise your quad trees? ;) I think I'll agree to disagree on this one. No, no you misunderstand. The quadtrees themselves ARE the optimisat...

However, optimisation is far, far far more than just fixing bugs. I'm afraid I disagree. If a piece of code is not running as fast as you expect it to (or need it to) then it is a bug that should be fixed. That said, not all bugs are worth fixing. Certainly with optimisation there are diminishing r...

Chris fixed a bug that was hitting performance really hard and you call this optimisation? As a matter of fact, yes I do. Optimisation is nothing more than the removal of bugs that adversely affect performance. ...why am I even bothering... As much as BL4DE has said before, I'm afraid that optimisa...

Your assumption is off. I tell users asking for advise or help to visit the developer forum. I usually mention the reason for not having support in the general forum. @ Causeless If you see me as an 'asshole' that's your opinion. And I don't care about your opinion. The fact is I'm not alone who is...

The foundation in the build menu is highlighted. The place where the foundation shall go is highlighted. It's not my fault the player surrounds that area with foundations or walls instead of dragging a square foundation to fill the area. You don't need to be a dick about it. Every single time someb...

I think it'd be cool if we were able to manually change how long they are in solitary / lockdown, even if they are innocent, and decide what regime activities they participate in - you may allow prisoners to eat while in lockdown, but not go into the common room, as an example.

Yes, this, a hundred billion times over!

I'd love this stuff, and from the looks of it at least a rudimentary form of it is planned judging from twitter posts.

Taking it to this level would be just awesome, though!

You need to click and drag to show the area, not just put a single square.
