Re: Will Introversion be hiring more people?

Chris mentioned one of the programmers in the most recent alpha build and we already know about Ryan Sumo. I'm guessing what's going on is IV is getting freelancers and outsourcing projects rather than hiring of employees permanently. This would help them to avoid some of their past financial proble...

Re: Suggestion: Re-implementation of fire

With more devious prisoners in the future fires from them should be more often. Also random fires are perfect fine so long as you can still automatically fight them. We already have sprinklers but water isn't something you want to spray in the laundry room. A fire extinguisher would be nice though, ...

Re: [Suggestion] White-Collar Prison

My first thoughts when reading this were thinking of ways to bring treatment of nobles in Dwarf Fortress to Prison Architect. Surely we could afford to drop a holding cell of fresh recruits into a pit? That's illegal? Well what about magma? We don't have magma? Legendary bests? No? How about giving ...

Re: [Suggestion] More realistic prisoner movement

One of the suggestions awhile back suggested guards escorting multiple prisoners in a line so we can get prisoners out of the delivery area quicker.

Re: [Suggestion] Remove Auto-Repair

To make things easier if there's an option to turn off automatic repairs then you can have something in the job list and select from a list of needed repairs which ones to accept.

Re: Campaign suggestion

And you are then meant to 'unlock' e.g. a luxury bed? Would be a nice addition next to the sandbox mode Didn't think of it like that but I like it. It would encourage players to go through the campaign and try to get a few different things that aren't necessary but allow players to fine tune their ...

[Suggestion] Wooden buildings

Currently the only choice we have in foundations is to build it of brick or replace it with concrete. I would like to suggest a third option, wood. -After placing a foundation, you will be presented with a panel that asks what kind of material you wish this to be made from and the ability to modify ...

Re: [Suggestion] Seasons and HVAC

Temperature has been talked about and suggested several times before. While I think it'd be an interesting feature (Siberia anyone?) the difficulty in coding this and keeping the frame rate up, especially on large maps might make it impractical. Until such time though that Chris says so I still woul...

Re: Alpha 15 PA images

It's pretty easy. Think of the DAT file as a zip. I use Winzip to open the DAT file since it's a free program. Just view its contents and extract them to where ever you want.

Re: (Suggestion) Staff Tiredness

The way staff resting works now there should be a simple option to choose when staff can go and rest. For example workers can rest when exhausted but guards rest once they ht tired so they can keep up their speed.

I had this problem, basically what I did was build extra piping and then dismantle it so that I could make up for what it claimed was already there.

Re: Alpha 15 PA images

@knoeste26
@RGeezy911

There's no new objects in the objects.png image. The armories have been there for the past few alpha builds. The likely reason for them not being implemented yet is that Chris wants to try adding all the parts of it at once rather than bits and pieces.

Re: Is Prison Architect an indie game?

Indie, for me at least, a low budget game since they didn't have publishers. Now though, it's changed to whatever game 'is making a stand against big publisher companies'. I'm not sure IV is doing that, they just want to make a fun game.
