Re: What is this?
If I had to speculate based on the sprite and screenshot, I'd say that its a station for listening to prisoner's phone calls and/or bugging their cells. Poor console design, though. The tape spools should be mounted vertically where they'd be less susceptible to dust/coffee/donut crumbs. What are y...

[Suggestion] More items for logic gates
I'm really enjoying playing around with the logic gates, however I do have one issue with them. That is that the only effective think I can do is use servos to open and close doors. While this is a great start, here's some more items that I would like to see added to the system. -Sensors: All kinds ...

Clockwork Empires "Earliest Access"
http://clockworkempires.com/ For those who haven't heard of this thing, it's basically trying to recreate the way you can get such amazing stories in Dwarf Fortress and plop it down in a Victorian era Colony that follows steampunk aesthetics. It's been in development for roughly two years and now G...

Re: [Suggestion] Dangerous Doors (Power Outage)
Ignoring how the doors are opened, which Chris mentioned we may or may not see more customization on as they could be mechanically powered like Alcatraz or have electric options, I don't see why it should be all locked or unlocked. Sure, an option to do that to the entire prison or building would be...

Re: Has anyone figured out yet how to force the dev tools op
I'm curious if that button works; does it speed up the research speed? I'm not going to test this myself as I am a Steam user and don't want to risk a ban due to Cheat Engine. You mean a VAC ban? Prison Architect is not VAC-protected. (Why would it be? It's single-player.) And even if you play VAC-...

Re: [suggestion] Death row/Parole/Sentencing Design
I think to keep in line with player choice and the fact that this is a business, death row should be portrayed as part of the grant system. For example, the first contract would be to construct the facility and one death row cell as a "trial run". After having your first execution, new gra...

Re: [Suggestion] Cancel Grants
I would say yes so long as you have to pay the advance pay back and maybe a penalty. This would discourage players from trying to break the system by taking free money and not bothering to spend the money required to complete the goal. In real life you don't get to tell the government that you appre...

Re: [SUGGESTION] Church
Religion is going to play a part in PA. If you open up the files within the game, you will see a planned UI button for what appears to be a church.

It's weird you could not find that because I distinctly recall a post that was very similar to the one in that link.

Re: [suggestion] Keeping my regime when selling?
Regimes aren't so difficult to set that this feature is really needed. Not to mention, assuming you're building bigger and bigger, there's not many times this feature would be used. If you really like a particular regime and that somehow works for you, try writing it down or screenshotting it.

Re: Cell Phone Detector for Prison
Once in a prison, shakedowns usually take care of that kind of contraband. Though having some method of automatic searching would be nice when they arrive. I don't really see the point of such a device unless we get utility rooms, which would be a good place to put them. Not to mention cell phones w...

Re: [Suggestion] Slow down the clock
I would be for this, just so long as the fast forward buttons were adjusted properly for speeding up. I'm getting very annoyed that my prisoners can't walk twenty tiles across concrete flooring in the two hours that I give them to take a shower.

Re: [Suggestion] Defining routes
We could draw traffic routes with something like the path tool, assign its use and from there whenever that traffic route applies to them they will try to take it.
