Yeah the art - both ingame and polaroid fits the game incredibly well. I'd love to see similar art styles in Dwarf Fortress one day - well the sprites anyway

I've got the same problem, this is clearly a bug. Well actually - Workshops being slow isn't as much a bug, as the entire game is suffering from large queues in general. Try making a 100x100 foundation, or queue up loads of floor changes. As Chris mentioned in another thread, we are really pushing ...
No - A demo should never intentionally show off unimplemented or buggy features. A demonstration should be limited in scope for but all intents and purposes be fully functional within said scope.
Why? You'd be surprised how harshly people judge demos - even alphas/betas.
Funny - when I queued up four cell blocks (that's 8 cells worth of beds, lighting, toilets, televisions, floors, doors and grass outside) I didn't have any problems. Sure it took forever.
