Or just let us use Material walls to build everything. But maybe that would require some kind of "roof" tool, in which case, just do what xyzyxx said and just lay base foundations, and let us build walls manually on top.

If they weren't handcuffed I think most of them would run.

Buildings (Foundations > Building) shouldn't even build themselves until you place a door. For normal walls (Materials > BrickWall) I leave a gap. yeah it looks like their angle is wrong, its like the door is steeper angle than the walls :P it looks a bit wierd. Also staff only, prisoners cannot get...

I haven't got too far before an inevitable crash. The long term appeal will be interesting, because most of these games get boring when you figure out your favourite layout. The ways other games extend that are by having different missions/tasks/challenges, but those do get boring too. Being able to...

As someone who exclusively games in Windowed mode found it is wonderful that the game doesn't have edge scrolling. The XCOM demo is terrible if you try and do anything else, come back into the game and you're on the other side of the map! I agree that implementation of it would be useful for the ma...

And is there a difference between the "Foundations > Building" and the "Materials > BrickWall"

I'm having tons of problems with these. Why can't we just use BrickWalls to build interiors?

More money

How do I start with more money?

I start with 10k, and I can barely get an office/kitchen/canteen/holding cell going before running out of cash.

$30 isn't out of line to me. But if the retail price is less when the game launches, I'll be annoyed, since then it would literally be paying more for the privilege of Alpha testing, and I think that would be unreasonable. Pay more now and play early, or pay less later and play later. That's pretty...

I read somewhere that you're free to upload videos/etc without any problems. EDIT: On the Wiki as foxxtrot said. "We're keen to encourage new people to join the alpha so please feel free to talk about the game, upload you-tube play-throughs, tweet bug reports (especially the hilarious ones) etc...

Re: If it wasn't IV, how many of you would play this game?

Be honest. If it wasn't for the Introversion/ Defcon/ Darwinia / Uplink connection, how many of you reading this on the forums would really have given PA a second glance? Yes, because I play tons of city-building RTS games: Caesar 3/Rise of the Middle Kingdom/Children of the Nile/Dwarf Fortress/Gno...

I'm not complaining, not really. I'm just stating that, sadly, that price tag is just way above what I was willing to spend in this promising game, I don't mean to offend anyone. According to the PC gamer interview they did this to make sure only those who really wanted the game, and who really wan...
