http://xs131.xs.to/xs131/08385/starofindia839.jpg.xs.jpg You play this set-up at def 1 (as verified by the recording), and I (along with an appropriate war planning council - Nightwatch u in?) can definitely beat it. It would be nice to somehow find a recorded default server with no speed budget.

OK I'll try you out; but since you call the locations, I call the game: Totally Random.

And, oh, btw, what exactly is the Star of India!?!

I dare say it seems to be fixed now at least with the MOR Default game. That's progress.

Um, out of deep and sincere respect for bert (and love of the game), I may not quit so hastily after all.

I have neither the time nor the inclination to do such twiddles. I am a gamer, not a computer technician. Damn, and I liked this game too. I quit.

What does this mean? Where do I make this change?

My auth key is still "authenticated" yet I can't join a game except as a demo. Help!

MetaServer / Authentication Issues?

For the second time now (the first being about two weeks ago), I have experienced "authentication issues" with Defcon. Each time corresponded with a new "MOTD" message box appearing on the Main Menu screen. Is there an attempt being made to upgrade Defcon, or is something else af...

I did not see a choice for my personal favorite: Six Player Totally Random. Some others beside myself, I believe, consider this to be the very best format. As an aside, it would be nice to see two variations of this game: 1) no alliances allowed and 2) alliances allowed but no defections allowed aft...

Playback for Dummies

bert_the_turtle wrote:Assuming you're using Windows:

This worked. Thank you very much.

Please excuse me if this has been asked/answered before, but is there a step-by-step tutorial on playing back game recordings (starting at square 1) that I might be directed to?

Hey. Given that I don't do recordings - not that I don't care to but that I don't know how - perhaps you might share your critique with me too! BTW, I've never played as Peacelover, but have played as Piecelover once or twice.

Hey Gulidar, thanks for the shout back! Um, I'm not very sophisticated when it comes to recordings and all that, but you can find me in these recent 1v1 Demo games (I have no idea where 2v2 games are archived): 08-30-08 @ 11:30 Tobias 99 Lynchfinger 3 09-03-08 @ 19:00 VBIQVE (me) 46 Lynchfinger 95 0...

If it's not too late, I will be your partner Gulidar (or anyone else's for that matter). As a matter of principle I would like to avoid games where an opposing player is simultaneously system admin, as well as the known admin that secretly shares info with other players.
