Re: Baby Hitler

Please respond below with "Yes" or "No" with a SMALL explanation. No. Baby Hitler is probably cute. I wanna trust my instincts and not have to overrule them with my ratio*, I just wanna feel like a human. Sincerely, your egomanic forumnaut trickser. *rationality, translation iss...

Re: Baby Hitler

What are the ethics of killing a baby? It’s a question that has not plagued mankind. It’s pretty much agreed upon that you don’t kill babies. But what if you had a time machine and could set it to Austria in June of 1889? When Adolf Hitler — future architect of the Holocaust — was a wee babe. Would...

Re: Ask a Physicist Anything!

I think the 2nd law just doesn't deal with regions(of system) that become subsytems with a lower entropy.
But it happens anyway.

(But yes, I dont really understand thermodynamics)

Re: Ask a Physicist Anything!

The crown of scientific concepts belongs to evolution (see my avatar). It even challenges the 2nd law of thermodynamics. 2nd law of thermodynamics: "In the end everything will be equally dull." evolution: "Uh, man! Sounds like a bad idea, mind if I try to have 1 or 2 better ones till ...

Re: Trouble With Screen

Hi, did you play with the ingame options for resolution and windowed mode? Those options can also be changed by editing preferences.txt file. It might allow you to set the values arbitrarily, like (your screen width) x (screen height - taskbar size - window decoration). I dont know where you can fin...

Re: Hiroshima and Nagasaki

UA, I am talking about your post: Who cares if it's justifiable. All is fair in War. The winner is the only thing that matters. Japan attacked the united states; we declared war thus we can/could do anything we wanted to break them. It makes no sense. You say there is no need to justify, but at the ...

Re: Hiroshima and Nagasaki

I was taking a ground on moral relativism Great, I also dislike it. However my solution is not defining a space where moral does not count. and suggest the futility of justifying horrible actions in a state of war. That's also relativizing, sometimes moral counts, sometimes it does not. Yes war, wa...

Re: Hiroshima and Nagasaki

No point in talking to trickster at all. But why? I critizied your argument for being idiotic at basic logic levels. And when your reply made it obvious you did not understand I made myself more clear. And I even answered to what came up from your misunderstanding, assuming you care about answers w...

Re: Hiroshima and Nagasaki

I suggest to not use semantic trash when making an argument. Trash: we : grammatically equivalent to (I + They). Neither of you has fought in WW2 or been involved with the production or dropping of the atomic bombs. there is no reason to reason / justify : A contradiction in itself, if you make an a...

Re: Hiroshima and Nagasaki

You seem to care. What you wrote has the same function as the other arguments which attempted to justify the events within this debate.
Why defend/attack at all what people did 70 years ago?

Re: 9/11/01 Never Forget

Okay, so let's see, both the passive and the active part (victim or offender) hurts your feelings. But you are more willing to forget your own fault since you cannot revert what you did wrong, but remembering what you recieved gives you some hope for justice maybe? That would be a world where justic...

Re: 9/11/01 Never Forget

I could contstruct a few examples where it would makes sense to do so, but in general you are right. ("why would they?, was your former reply) Therefor I asked about the consequences.
