Soul-crushingly depressing, but probably no more so than Threads or The War Game . It's about a man and his son traveling towards the ocean hoping to find something growing by the water. Most plant life has died and the sun is permanently blotted out by clouds of dust, so the two have to contend wit...

I've already seen both of them numerous of times. What I mean by suspence, is that people in the family can go mad, some will run out of the house and get "eaten" by radiation, leaving the rest of the family in danger, some people will struggle with blowing their head off and the family t...

Mmm. Party games can be really fun, but cluster enough people around the board and any game can be a party game. Back in my high school drama club, I brought Pirateer to play backstage between scenes. People really seemed to enjoy it because you needed skill and luck to win. Often the favorite to wi...

I can't find any way to respond to ChileanSuperpower's post without sounding like a prick for going back on topic, because clearly Pinochet's government was awful and repressive, but the topic is more about individual murderers, not governments, having access to guns, because governments have access...

So the bombs will start dropping within five or ten minutes, but there will be lots of suspense? How? I don't mean to sound combative, but most suspense comes from delaying the ultimate horror until the very last minute before the audience loses interest. What might be interesting would be a bomb, u...

I'm in college. I can't find space for a board game and I haven't made many friends, so it would be hard to find someone to play. Still, I've played Scrabble with my roommate once or twice.

Yeah, but then the whole rest of the world economy is shattered. Even countries that didn't take part would be left in shambles.

Which is why modern nuclear war would suck even harder than Hiroshima did.

Wouldn't the whole thing have to take place in a bunker, or at least very far away from the blast, in order for any drama to take place?

I don't think the world is ready for a nuclear war movie other than Doctor Strangelove . Never watch The War Game without preparing for massive existential depression. It's terrifying, sad, and overwhelming at the same time. Still, it's probably the most realistic nuclear war scenario that's yet app...

For explaining the KingAI thing. I was needlessly getting offended because I thought you thought I had been a lurker for a while, which would make you think I ought to have known KingAI's conversational tics. That said, I've been having a bad day because there's a paper I need to write and I don't k...

Repeat after me:
I am not KingAI.
I am not KingAI.
I am not KingAI.
I am not KingAI.

(Repeat)

Is it KingAI's job to quote movies or something? What's the problem?
